What Is an Inverter Generator and Who Is It For?

An inverter generator converts the current from the alternator into direct current and electronically reconverts it into 230 V / 50 Hz alternating current. The result is a waveform with less than 3% harmonic distortion, suitable for computers, chargers, televisions, medical equipment, or solar inverters, and an engine that reduces its RPM when the load is low: lower fuel consumption and less noise.

In Genergy The inverter line is divided into two families that share the same original motor Genergy Euro V, electric start with battery included, and digital display. Inverter Open These are the open-type models: ranging from 3,800 to 10,000 W, up to 35% smaller and lighter than an equivalent generator, with versions RC (range: 50 m), SOL (photovoltaic backup) and ATS (network failure). Inverter Silent These are the enclosed models: 1,100 to 19,000 W, from 52 dB at 7 m, with a carbon monoxide alarm, a 30 mA ground-fault circuit interrupter, and a filter Typhonic in the Creta. All are 230-volt single-phase except for Bali and Borneo, which also deliver 400 V.

What do you need it for?

You choose an amplifier based on what you're going to plug in and where it will be used, not just on the wattage. These are real-life situations our customers face, and the model that solves each one.

Home · Power Outages

Keep the house running even if the power goes out

Refrigerators, water heaters, routers, computers, and televisions require a clean power supply and the ability to start up regardless of whether you're home. The version ATS detects a network failure, restarts automatically, waits 15 seconds to stabilize (OPD) and shuts off when the power comes back on; it includes the transfer switch and the battery charger. Creta ATS 7.500 W (open, 70 kg) or Creta Silent ATS 7.500 W (61–71 dB, with CO alarm).

Automatic Backup for a Solar Installation

When the batteries fall below the threshold, the solar inverter closes a dry contact (NO) and the generator starts up automatically; when the batteries regain their charge, it stops. The waveform is clean so that the inverter accepts it without rejection. Creta SOL 7.500 W (compatible with all inverter brands) and, for large homes or estates, Java 10.500 W, Bali 13 kW or Borneo 19 kW with RC, SOL and ATS on the same computer.

Outgoing or quiet? Find out in three questions

Both families share the same inverter electronics. What differs is the components surrounding the motor.

How far away are people?

If you work more than 15–20 m away from other people (on a farm, at a construction site, in a shed), a Open 67–74 dB is sufficient, and it weighs less. If it's going to be next to a RV, a patio, or an occupied house, Silent: 52 to 74 dB depending on the model, and in the Creta with a CO alarm.

Who recharges it, and how often?

The Open They save up to 35% in volume and weight: Creta RC The 7,500 W model weighs 73 kg, compared to 87 kg for the Creta Silent RC with the same power. If you move it every day, Open. If you live with a ATS or a solar panel—the weight doesn't matter.

How much actual power?

Add up the rated power of everything that's turned on at the same time and add a 20–30% margin for motor starts (refrigerator, pump, air conditioner). With less than 3,000 W, there's only Silent; you can choose between 3,800 and 10,000 W; above 10 kW, there are only Silent at 230/400 V.

When an inverter isn't the right choice for you. If you're going to plug in heavy-duty tools on a construction site (angle grinders, jackhammers, concrete mixers), the "clean" power doesn't do you any good, and you end up paying more: a Professional with SVR e IP67 It's more robust and less expensive. If you need 15–18 kW of three-phase power for machinery, Big Series. If the equipment is used continuously for many hours a day or exceeds 20 kVA, a diesel generator set at 1,500 rpm.

Why an Inverter? Genergy

Waveform with less than 3% THD

The electronics reconstruct the signal to 230 V / 50 Hz. This is what allows you to plug in computers, battery chargers, medical equipment, or the inverter of a solar system without an additional regulator.

Mode ECO across the entire range

The engine's RPM drops when the load is light. In Palma 1700 Water consumption drops from 0.8 L/h at full load to 0.37 L/h at one-quarter load; in Creta 7,500, from 3.6 to 1.7 L/h.

Starting at 52 dB and 12 kg

Palma 1700 measures 52–58 dB at 7 m and Ibiza 1100 weighs 12.1 kg. The Open They reduce volume and weight by up to 35% compared to an equivalent generator.

Electric start with battery included

All models except Ibiza 1100 They feature push-button starting with a built-in battery and an automatic servo-controlled choke on the automatic versions: they start on their own at any temperature.

RC, SOL and ATS in the same family

50-meter wireless remote control; dry-contact startup of the solar inverter or grid-failure transfer panel, with delay OPD 15 seconds to prevent the engine from starting under load. Java, Bali and Borneo They combine all three functions into a single device.

Safety in Silent Creta

Carbon monoxide alarm with automatic engine shut-off, 30 mA differential, and centrifugal air filter Typhonic which extends maintenance intervals in dusty environments.

Inverter vs. Other Generators Genergy

Honest comparison: The inverter is best for electronics, noise, and weight; for other loads, there are more suitable options.

Frequently Asked Questions About Inverter Generators

I recently purchased a Limited 7000 generator. I contacted the company by email to ask a few questions, and they responded immediately. Plus, they’re going to replace the industrial outlet adapter in a couple of days. GREAT AFTER-SALES SERVICE—for once, what they say is true; that’s what I call service. As for the generator, it looks well-made and high-quality, starts right up, and the noise level is pretty standard for a gasoline-powered generator—it’s a good machine. For now, I’m giving Genergy 5 stars.

I bought the 3000 diesel generator; they tested it at the factory before shipping it to me, and they delivered it with oil already in it and ready to use—even though they didn’t have to, since at the big retailers, they don’t even bother to open the box for you to see it. Once tested, it works very well, and I have no complaints. The customer service is excellent. I called several times to get more information—and, by the way, to make sure it wasn’t one of those scams that are so common in online sales these days—and I can assure you that this is a trustworthy company from which I’ll make future purchases. Thank you very much for everything.

Definitely a trustworthy company. I had a minor issue with a generator, and they resolved it within 24 hours. They responded to my email incredibly quickly and provided a solution that was fast, effective, and on par with what you’d expect from a mature, well-established team. Their service was direct, transparent, and straightforward—no evasiveness or automated responses that lead nowhere. By the way, the generator is a Genergy 5000, and it works like a charm—well-designed, compact, and reliable. I use it almost exclusively to power a 1.5 HP well pump. It’s definitely a great choice, and I highly recommend it.
