What is the product line? BFT and who it's for
BFT means Big Fuel Tank: These are professional-grade generators with large fuel tanks, designed to run all day—or all night—without anyone having to stop to refuel them.
Five models ranging from 3,300 W to 10 kVA with tanks of 14 and 27 liters, up to 18 hours straight at 25% capacity (Urkiola-S), and all in S version: 30 mA residual current protection, IP67 connectors, and manual start—all required by public works projects and rental companies. Same mechanical design as the Professional line (motor Euro V, copper alternator, regulation SVR, wheels, and integrated handles), with up to five times the battery life. Una boda de ocho horas, un food truck de mañana a noche, un turno nocturno o un riego: lo que no puede parar.
- Up to 6 p.m. withoutrefueling, at 25% charge
- 14–27 Ltank capacity (compared to 2.6–6 L in the Professional model)
- 3,300 W – 10 kVAC; five models, 230 and 400 V
- S30mA version· IP67 · standard across the entire product line
- Genergy Warranty: 1 year for businesses · 3 years for residential customers · Technical Support in Spain
How many hours does it last? The actual calculation
Runtime isn't just a number in a brochure: it depends on how much you ask of it. Here's how to calculate it, so you can compare any generator on the market.
At a quarter of its capacity—which is typical for an event with lights, music, and coolers coming and going—a 27-liter Urkiola-S consumes 1.5 L/h: 18 hours. The 8,000-watt models require more (2.3 L/h with the same tank), so they last 11.5 hours. A standard “Profesional” model with the same power rating and a 6-liter tank lasts between 3 and 4 hours. Here are the three runtime figures for each model, without rounding:
| Model | Power | Deposit | 25% charge | 50% charge | 75% charge | Noise at 7 m | Who is it for? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Masella-S | 3.300 W | 14 L | 17,5 h | 14 h | 10 h | 64–73 dB | Watering, lighting for a booth or small tent |
| Belagua-S | 4.000 W | 14 L | 14 h | 9,3 h | 7 h | 66–73 dB | Night shift, remote job, flea market |
| Urkiola-S | 5.500 W | 27 L | 18 h | 15 h | 11,5 h | 67–74 dB | Weddings, food trucks, fair |
| Angliru-S | 8.000 W | 27 L | 11,5 h | 9 h | 7 h | 72–79 dB | Large event, rental |
| Ancares-S | 8 kW (10 kVA) a 400 V · 7 kW a 230 V | 27 L | 11,5 h | 9 h | 7 h | 72–79 dB | Three-phase power for events (air conditioning, kitchen) |
Official Catalog Information Genergy 2026 (pp. 36–37). A generator should operate at between 40% and 80% of its rated load to perform well and last, so the 50% column most closely resembles demanding real-world use.
What do you need it for?
Every situation calls for a specific power setting and number of hours. Find the one that's right for you.
Ceremony, cocktail reception, banquet, and dance
Decorative lighting, sound system, a bar with refrigerators and a coffee maker, and sometimes climate control in the tent. Eight to ten hours, and no one can come to refuel in the middle of the waltz. Urkiola-S 5,500 W (27 L, 18 h at 25%) or Angliru-S 8,000 W if there’s a kitchen or climate control, lasting 11.5 h.
From opening to closing, nonstop
An iron, two refrigerators, a coffee maker, lighting, and a POS terminal use around 4,000–6,000 W, with occasional spikes. The Urkiola-S 5,500 W model covers a full day’s use; the Angliru-S 8,000 W model is sufficient if you’re using a deep fryer or air conditioner. A 3,000 W model isn’t enough when the refrigerator starts up while the iron is on.
Various positions, full-time
Lighting, beverage coolers, POS terminals, and small equipment for three or four stations. Belagua-S 4,000 W (14 h) or Urkiola-S 5,500 W (18 h), depending on how many stations are connected to the same generator.
Stage, Sound, and Lighting
A 2–3 kW sound system, plus lighting and backline. Angliru-S 8,000 W; for air conditioning or various three-phase stages, Ancares-S 10 kVA. Both operate at around 72–79 dB, so if the audience is less than 20 m away, consider silent inverters.
Lighting, cameras, and on-location catering
Twelve-hour shifts with equipment that can’t be turned off. Angliru-S 8,000 W; keep in mind that at 11.5 hours at 25% capacity, a twelve-hour shift requires a recharge break or a second unit. Place it away from the set and run a cable to it.
Work done at night or work you won't return to until tomorrow
Lighting and power tools all night long, or sump pumps that must continue to run. Belagua-S 4,000 W (14 h) or Urkiola-S 5,500 W (18 h). Standard S version for public works.
Water all night without going to the farm
Irrigation or transfer pump that runs for hours. Masella-S 3,300 W (17.5 h) or Belagua-S 4,000 W (14 h), both with a 14-liter capacity: start it at dusk and it keeps running until dawn. For three-phase pumps, Ancares-S.
Major surgeries and procedures
When a power outage lasts a day rather than just a few hours: control stations, area lighting, heaters. Angliru-S 8,000 W with 27 L. 30 mA ground fault circuit interrupter and IP67 rating as standard.
"All-day" deliveries
The generator your customers don't return because they ran out of gas. Standard S version (30 mA, IP67, manual with no battery), 27 liters. Angliru-S or Ancares-S. The entire fleet-ready line of generators for rental companies (S versions).
Why BFT
14- and 27-liter tanks
That's the whole point of this line: 11.5 to 18 hours at 25% load, depending on the model. The same power as the Professional model, with up to five times the battery life.
Standard S Version
30 mA residual current protection, IP67 outlets, and manual reset on all five models. Meets public works and rental requirements without needing to request it separately, and without the battery draining between uses.
Ancares-S: 400 V for the event
8 kW (10 kVA) at 400 V and 7 kW at 230 V, for industrial kitchens, tent cooling, or three-phase stage equipment.
SVR and copper alternator
Regulation SVR It absorbs power surges from refrigerators, irons, and motors without voltage drops; the 100% copper alternator withstands hours of continuous operation.
He moves around the construction site or the grounds
Built-in wheels and handles, cable clips for extension cords. Just place it where it won't get in the way and run the cord.
Motor Euro V
Lower emissions and energy consumption: At an outdoor event, what it smells like matters just as much as what it sounds like.
Gasoline, diesel, or a portable fuel station for an event?
People often say that “range is a diesel thing.” It depends on the hours of operation and the power output. Here’s how to decide:
| BFT (gasoline, long range) | Diesel generator set | Portable Power Station | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hours | 11.5–18 hours on a single charge; rechargeable | Days; large deposits | 2–10 hours, depending on the battery; it needs to be recharged |
| Power | 3.300 W – 10 kVA | 10 – 358 kVA | Up to ~3,000 W |
| Noise | 64–79 dB at 7 m: far from the audience | Soundproofed, 60–70 dB | Complete silence |
| Weight and Shipping | Wheels, fits in a van | Trailer or truck | By hand |
| Choose… | A one-day event, food truck, fair, shift: capacity and hours at the lowest cost | Multi-day festivals, large stages, continuous use — see generators | Soft sounds, electronic music, and complete silence among the audience — see portable stations |
Complete Guide: Diesel or Gasoline Generator—Which One to Choose Based on Use and Operating Hours.
How to Set Up a Generator at an Event
Six things that make the generator stand out for what it does, not for the annoyance it causes.
Where to put it
15–20 meters away from the audience, behind the tent or a hedge, with the exhaust facing outward. For the 64–74 dB models, that’s enough; with Angliru-S or Ancares-S (72–79 dB): It is best to move it a little farther away or use a sound barrier.
Refuelling: only when the engine is cold
Never while the machine is running or hot. That's why you need a large fuel tank: so you don't have to refuel in the middle of the event. If the event lasts longer than the fuel tank's capacity, plan for a break or have a second generator on hand.
Cables and Protective Coverings
Extension cords of the appropriate gauge, as short as possible, hung from cable hooks. Standard 30-mA ground-fault circuit interrupter (S version). A distribution panel to supply power to multiple workstations.
It really adds up in terms of power
Add up everything that will be running at the same time, plus 25% for peak loads (refrigerators and irons draw two to three times their normal power when they start up). Turn on the appliances one at a time.
Noise and Permits
Check the municipal ordinance if the event is in the city center; if the audience will be right next to the equipment, a quiet inverter (52–61 dB) will prevent problems.
Redundancy if it is critical
At a wedding or on a film set, there are no second takes: for essential items (sound, emergency lighting), keep a second small generator or a portable power station on hand as a backup.
