Traditional models are mounted on a diesel engine mounted on a skid or trailer: they provide a lot of light, weigh a metric ton, are noisy, and need to be refueled. Battery that can be swapped out in seconds

All models use removable lithium batteries: D24-100 in the Direct 100-300, Cenit , and Firefly; D24-500 in the Direct 500. A depleted battery can be replaced without turning off the tower and then put on charge. Each tower comes with one (or two, or three), and additional batteries can be purchased.

Four intensity settings

Eco, Balanced, Standard, and Turbo. With a D24-100: 45 hours in Eco mode, 16 in Balanced mode, 8 in Standard mode, and 4 at full power. You choose the runtime based on what you need to light, not on how long the battery lasts.

Directly to the grid or to a generator

Without a battery, when connected to the included 230 V adapter, the tower operates at maximum output (12,000, 14,000, or 65,000 lm) for an unlimited number of hours, with brightness adjustable via the adapter. When connected to an inverter generator, it consumes only a fraction of its power.

What is a light tower?

How many lumens does a light tower need?

For a single workstation, 4,000–6,000. For a 10 × 10-meter area, 12,000 (Direct 200 or Cenit 200, which covers 1,100 m² in 360°). For a 40 × 40 enclosure, 14,000 in 360° (Cenit 300, 2,200 m²). For an entire construction site or an emergency, 60,000 or more from a height of 4–5 meters (Direct 500 and 500 XL). Height matters just as much as lumens: the same light from a greater height covers a wider area and causes less glare.

How many hours does the battery last?

It depends on the mode: a D24-100 battery lasts 45 hours in Eco mode, 16 hours in Balanced mode, 8 hours in Standard mode, and 4 hours in Turbo mode. The Direct 300 and Cenit 300 come with two (7 to 70 hours), while the Direct 500 comes with three D24-500 batteries (10 to 110 hours). And since they’re interchangeable, with spare batteries and the charging case, you can get as much runtime as you want.

Can it be used plugged in, without a battery?

Yes, all of them: with the included 230 V adapter, they deliver their maximum output (up to 65,000 lm) with no limit on operating hours and with adjustable brightness. They can be powered by the grid or a generator; a small inverter can power several towers.

Battery-powered or diesel-powered lighting tower with a skid?

Diesel if you need 8–9 meters and more than 100,000 lumens on a highway or a large construction site where noise isn't an issue; Genergy It doesn't manufacture them. A battery for everything else: urban or nighttime construction, events, emergencies, railways, and rentals. The Direct 500 XL delivers 65,000 lumens at 5.3 meters; it's operated by a single person and produces no noise or smoke.

What is the difference between Direct and Cenit?

Direct It's directional lighting: adjustable spotlights that focus the light where you aim it (a cut, a facade, or two areas at once with the 300 model). Cenit It's 360° lighting, petal-style: it illuminates all around with no blind spots—1,100 m² for the 200 model and 2,200 m² for the 300 model. To focus on a single spot, Direct; to illuminate an entire area, Cenit.

Can they withstand rain and wind?

Yes: IP66 on the Direct 100-300, Cenit , and Firefly (direct water jet); IP65 on the Direct 500, which also withstand Category 8 winds thanks to their low center of gravity and fold-out legs. Firefly has an IK10 impact rating. The USB ports are waterproof.

Can they be used to light a soccer field?

For a training session or a small field, several Direct 500 XL lights placed on the sidelines provide sufficient lighting without the need for installation. For complete, permanent lighting of a field, the solution is different and has its own page: lighting towers for soccer fields.

Can they be charged using solar panels?

Yes: The TKC-9H charging case is compatible with the 200 W F8-200 foldable solar panel and can charge up to 9 D24-100 batteries (or 3 D24-500 batteries) without a power grid connection. At a construction site or campground without a power connection, the towers operate indefinitely using sunlight during the day and artificial light at night.

How much do they weigh, and how are they transported?

From 2 kg (Firefly 200) to 8.7 kg (Cenit 300) without the battery: any operator can carry them by hand using the handle. The Direct 500 and 500 XL weigh 50–52 kg but are equipped with three wheels on a single axle and can be moved by a single person; they fit in a standard SUV, and a medium-sized truck can hold 27 units.

What kind of maintenance do they need?

Virtually none: charge the batteries, clean the lamps, and store them in a dry place. There’s no engine, oil, filters, or fuel. That’s the real cost difference compared to a diesel tower over its lifetime.
