Electric Generator with SVR Electronic Regulation—Exclusive to GENERGY

Most of our generators feature SVR electronic regulation, which improves performance of the AVR.

Electric Generator with Electronic Regulation  SVR – SMART VOLTAGE REGULATOR

The NEW SVR REGULATOR, exclusive to GENERGY, enables the starting of larger engines while protecting the alternator from overloads. It is available in almost all of our generators.

Are all voltage regulators the same? At first glance, they might seem so, but the truth is that there are different qualities and features. Just because they look the same on the outside, are compatible, or are from the same brand doesn’t mean we’re dealing with the same product, much less the same quality.

The traditional AVR is an effective and economical solution for controlling voltage of an alternator even during engine acceleration and deceleration. It offers a multitude of advantages, though there are also some minor drawbacks.

Generators equipped with an AVR are unable to start motors whose peak power consumption exceeds the generator's maximum output. In contrast, the innovative SVR allows for the starting of inductive loads that exceed the generator's power capacity.

In the event of an inductive overload, our SVR regulator will command a reduction in voltage —within certain parameters and without risk to the equipment—while maintaining the RPM and Hz stable. This prevents the motor from stalling. Once the peak consumption has passed and the load falls within the generator set’s normal operating range, the voltage will return to its nominal level.

This system protects the alternator and the engine from overloads and offers countless advantages as shown in the attached tables.

Unlike traditional AVRs, SVRs SVRs from will will prevent a dangerous voltage surge in the event of an electronics of the regulator is damaged or suffers disconnection at any terminal.
